Please note that the device can be very sensitive to the USB connection.
Also, it is a known issue that the hardware cannot support frame aggregation and quality of service features (also known as WMM, Wi-Fi Multimedia) at the same time. According to the upstream maintainers, this makes this hardware "unsuitable for any serious 802.11n setup."

It is also known that it struggles at high throughput when cryptographic functions are offloaded to the device. One can set the kernel parameter 'nohwcrypt=1' to disable this.
